We recently just got home from a Cruise with a whole bunch of family. It was honestly a blast. It was a much needed vacation for Karson and I. I was more than stressed leaving three little boys behind but it turned out great and I am so thankful for family who all pitched in and helped out!
We left Saturday afternoon. We dropped Owen off at my sister in law Kaydees house. We were on our way up to Alpine to drop the two big boys off when Karsons aunt called us and asked if we had noticed that our flight had been delayed. Since it was delayed we were not able to catch our connecting flight. Lovely. We dropped the boys off and headed up to the airport to see what we could do. Turns out we couldn't get on a flight until 12:45 that night. So we sat at the airport for a good five hours. We flew to Atlanta and had a two hour layover. Right as we were suppose to board our flight they asked us to head to another gate. The plane had not even arrived yet. They had also over booked the flight by 17 people so they needed volunteers to change flights. This took an extra hour. We were on a time crunch to meet everyone in Miami to catch the shuttle to take us to the ship. Luckily the shuttle waited for us. We finally landed, got on the shuttle, and were making the hour drive when our bus died. We were having the worst luck you could ever imagine! We had to wait an extra hour for another shuttle to pick us up. It was very comical. Luckily we made it to the ship and went through customs. Our ship was suppose to port at 4 that afternoon but didn't leave until about 10. There was something wrong and they had to have divers come and fix the boat. You can imagine my anxiety. I thought these were all signs we shouldn't be going. We had the worst luck! Luckily that was all that happened. It was quite an eventful take off!
Shari and Joe packed a million bags!
